Château Haut Selve

« Non Nova Sed Nove »

Château Haut Selve is the result of Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues’ ambition to create a 112-acre vineyard from scratch over the land of a prestigious XIX century property where vines used to grow 120 years ago.

After a meticulous clearing of the land, vines were planted in a manner to support a fast and deep rooting, creating an ideal terroir for the growth of premium Cabernet Sauvignon.
The next challenge was the construction of a fully equipped and modern winery that would best serve the wines. It needed to be contemporary and sustainable. That vision required the help of truly talented partners, an enthusiastic and audacious team, able to challenge themselves, animated by our quest for excellence.
Sylvain Dubuisson and Vincent Barre, famous architects and designers, were hired to supervise the construction of the winery and to design the estate’s landscape, the grids, doors and cellars.

Chateau Haut Selve was born at the dawn of the XXI century. Its moto “Non Nova Sed Nove”, built in our time for an enduring tomorrow, illustrates the willingness that prevailed at the origin of that project and which is still true today.

Today, Château Haut Selve shines among the leading châteaux of the Graves. Its white and red wines can be found in the best wine shops, and in the wine list of the finest restaurants in France. They are also exported in close to 25 countries worldwide.
